Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will using a remanufactured or compatible printer cartridge void my manufacturer's printer warranty?

Absolutely not; using compatible or remanufactured cartridges will not void your printer’s warranty. Thanks to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act, it is illegal for a printer manufacturer to prohibit you from using 3rd party cartridge in the printer you purchased.

Q: Will using a ReMark Imaging cartridge damage my printer?

ReMark Imaging guarantees all cartridges we sell or distribute for one year from the date of purchase. If there is any damage to your printer, as a direct result of using one of our cartridges, we will pay for repairs or a replacement. It’s important to note that we’ve never had a customer contact us about one of our cartridges damaging their printer.

Q: I just put in one of your cartridges and the printer says "out of ink"! What's happening?

Chances are your printer has nozzles installed in it that require OEM cartridges to monitor ink levels. Your cartridge is not empty, and it will still print just fine. You can download a program that will reset or disable the ink monitor or print counter. Searching for "[printer name] ink level program removal" in your favorite search engine usually yields the correct results.

Q: Aren't OEM print cartridges always better than remanufactured or 3rd party cartridges?

A cartridge which is remanufactured will perform as well, if not better, than OEM printer cartridges. All of our products are extensively print tested, pre and post production inspected. That's why we confidently say that our cartridges will meet or exceed OEM standards for page yield, reliability, and quality!

Q: How can I find supplies for my printer?

We have our products organized by supply type and printer manufacturer. You can also find supplies by typing the name of the printer or cartridge in our search bar. We offer the print cartridge for most printers, as well as maintenance items, imaging units, and accessories. If there's anything you can't find, do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to help you.

Q: Do you offer discounted prices for businesses or government buyers?

Absolutely! You can either call us at 888-688-3336 or fill out the "Business Accounts" form (link is on the left-hand side) so we can set you up with the correct discount program. We can also send you a complete electronic catalog with the appropriate price breaks and information.

Q: What do I do with my empty cartridges?

We take all empty cartridges, regardless of usefulness. For all unusable cartridges, they will be broken down and recycled. Usable cartridges will be refilled and resold as remanufactured cartridges. Click on contact us, give us a call and explain your options.

If you have 4 toner cartridges or 20+ inkjet cartridges, we'll pay you for the cartridges. See the "Buyback Program" to learn more.

Q: Are remanufactured ink cartridges filled to capacity?

Yes.  Remanufactured cartridges are re-filled to maximum capacity. This means that you should get 30%-50% more ink depending on the model of your cartridge.

Q: Can photos be printed with remanufactured ink?

Absolutely! Our remanufactured ink and toners are guaranteed to perform to the same level as the original manufacturer’s product, so photos can be printed with incredible results.

Q: Should I clean the printer before installing the ink cartridge?

Yes, you should always clean the printer prior to installing any cartridge, though your cartridge will still work regardless.

To clean the printer:  Run the print head utility once you have installed your new cartridge. This enables the nozzles to remain clean and ensure optimal printing. If you need instructions on how to clean your printer, please refer to the owner’s manual.

Q: Why Should I refill my ink and toner cartridges?

You should refill them because that means you are recycling. Through refilling, you not only take advantage of the extended life of the print head, but you also save money and protect our environment.

Q: How many times can I refill the original cartridge?

You can refill your cartridge until it wears out. On average, you can refill the original cartridge five times, but this depends on how well the cartridge is maintained. For toner cartridges, Remark will not reuse a cartridge core that shows any wear, and that means previously remanufactured cartridges will not be used. This improves reliability for our customers.

Q: Will I get the same number of printed pages from your cartridges?

Absolutely. The majority of the time you will actually get more printed pages from our cartridges than their OEM counterparts.

Q: How much money will I save?

Remanufactured ink and toner users on average enjoy a 30-70% savings over OEM pricing; depending upon the make/model of your cartridge. Give us a call and we’d be happy to tell you how much you’ll save!
